Denver Clerk and Recorder Paul D. López will be hosting the annual Valentine's Day celebration at his office on Feb. 14, 2020, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Judges and clergy will be on hand to perform free marriage ceremonies for couples! Food and beverages will be available for the couples and drawings will be held for gifts donated from local businesses, elected officials and other city agencies. Marriage ceremonies are free; marriage licenses are $30.

SHANTELL MARTIN: WORDS AND LINES

London-born, New York-based contemporary artist Shantell Martin has collaborated with iconic brands and artists from Puma and Nike to Max Mara and Kendrick Lamar. EYES ON: ANTHONY MCCALL

Between 1972 and 1974, London-born, New York-based artist Anthony McCall recorded a suite of seven fire performances. Landscape for Fire presents five performers dressed in white walking a precisely choreographed pattern across an airfield in North Weald, England, igniting small fires. Shifting configurations of light and dark unfold across a thirty-six-point grid, as the field of grass becomes a meadow of light.

AFTER THE ASTEROID: EARTH’S COMEBACK STORY

A new trove of remarkably preserved fossils found by paleontologists from the Denver Museum of Nature & Science near Colorado Springs paints a vivid picture of how Earth recovered after the devastating asteroid impact that wiped out the dinosaurs 66 million years ago. See some of the very best fossils from the site at a brand-new bilingual pop-up exhibit to bring the discovery to life.
